Grandma’s Gift

October 7, 2019 | Blog, Zuber Specials

Just in time for Christmas, here is a chance to make a keepsake memory book from you to your grandchild!  Share memories and make memories as you begin this book and you will receive ideas on how to finish it with your grandchild!

On Sunday, November 3rd from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. join other grandmas in this workshop where you will be guided as you begin to write your book, create a unique and personal cover, receive a list of ideas to help you continue to add personalized memories to your book, and receive ideas on how to add “chapters” to this book with your grandchild…co-author a one of a kind keepsake! As part of Girls Get Away Weekend in the Amana Colonies, Zuber’s Homestead Hotel Innkeeper and (soon to be published) children’s author Bonnie, is hosting this workshop at the Homestead Welfare Club. Workshop fee of $50.00 is required with your reservation.  The fee covers a buffet lunch, snacks, and workshop materials. Space is limited to 50 grandmas or grandpas would be welcome! Call Zuber’s Homestead Hotel to place your reservation:  319-622-3911

Welcome to Our Blog

Thank you for checking out our blog at Zuber’s Homestead Hotel! As owners we have the daily pleasure of visiting with our guests. Often we are sitting in our Wagon Wheel Room and have our conversation over a cup of coffee (or tea)!

Our blog will be a reflection of those conversations. We often share stories about Zuber’s Homestead Hotel and the history of this wonderful place! We also share information about events and happenings in the Amana Colonies.

We invite you to enjoy these stories by reading our blog. Feel free to ask us questions and we’ll do our best to give you an answer. So sit down, grab your cup of coffee (or tea) relax, and share in our stories.

We look forward to the day that you’ll come and experience Zuber’s Homestead Hotel, and the Amana Colonies for yourself!
