Recipe: Cinnamon Apples
red food coloring
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
cinnamon candies (red hots)
Boil whole or halved apples until tender in sugar, water and coloring mixture. Put cinnamon candies in center of apples and let them melt as cooking. After removing apples, boil down syrup until it thickens. (Don’t let it get too thick or it will be hard.) Pour over apples.
