As we are almost to the end of October, now is the time we begin to think about and plan for the Tannenbaum Forest followed by Prelude to Christmas!
The Tannnbaum Forest will open the weekend of November 27- 30. It will be open weekends, closing on December 20th.
The Tannenbaum forest is a magical and beautiful place! It is held in the Festhalle Barn. There are usually between 30 – 40 Christmas trees all decorated differently. Local business owners and groups decorate their tree and all are different. The creativity is always amazing! The large Christmas Pyramid is also decorated differently each year.
A free will donation is taken at the door and then you stroll through the winding “forest” listening to Christmas music and enjoying the different trees. From the dontations received, several thousand dollars is given each year to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
