4 to 6 c. sliced apples
1 c. sugar
2 Tbl. flour
Salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cake Batter:
1-1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
Cream: 1/4 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, and 1 beaten egg

Place apples in 9 x 13 inch pan, sprinkle sugar mixture over apples. Cream shortening, add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Cover apple and sugar mixture. Bake 35 minutes in 350 degree oven. When done turn out on cookie sheet to cool. Delicious served with cheese or ice cream.
