Recipe: Tuna Melt Sandwiches

Tuna Melt Sandwiches

¼ pound cubed American cheese – Velveeta
3 shelled, chopped hard boiled eggs
1 c. chunk style tuna
2 – 3 chopped sweet pickles
½ c. mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
Small amount of chopped onion – optional
Hamburger buns

Mix all items together. 

Spread mixture of hamburger bun.

Can be served cold, or heated.


“This recipe was from my mom. I’m not sure where she got it from. 

My mom used to always use homemade lime chip pickles but now I would use whatever pickle tastes good to you.

We also always had these sandwiches heated. Mom would wrap them individually in foil and warm them in the oven on a cookie sheet” – Innkeeper Bonnie
